The Soldiers Project

We are a group of licensed mental health professionals who offer free psychological treatment to military service members (active duty, National Guard, Reserves and veterans) who have served in support of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. We also provide treatment to their families and other loved ones. Treatment is conducted in our private offices. Our therapists are all volunteers and our services are entirely confidential. We do not report to any governmental agency.

We provide continuing education on Military Culture and the effects of war to our volunteers as well as monthly Peer Consultation groups for our volunteers.

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization as defined by the IRS. Contributions are fully tax-deductible.

Because of LAISPS' commitment to bringing psychoanalytic understanding to underserved groups within our community it established the Ernest S. Lawrence Trauma Center. The Center's projects are run by volunteer licensed clinicians who provide free psychoanalytically-informed psychological services to "at-risk" populations as well as educational presentations to the community.
