CIPS NewsBriefs - Summer 2024
Letter from the Editor
Dear CIPS Community,
This is my last issue as the NewsBriefs editor, having served in this role for two years now. So, I’d like to begin by thanking you all for the opportunity to serve. Psychoanalysis and psychotherapy—in my view—cannot happen without communities that nurture, support, and creatively challenge those within it. It’s been my hope that NewsBriefs has been one small way of deepening such links.
The theme for this issue is Dreaming and Action.
In addition to the updates from each represented society and institute, we are fortunate to have several creative submissions for this issue—these include poetry, photos, and paintings. I am delighted that they are so different from one another—and I invite you to experience each one. I’d like to thank each contributor: Meredith Redding, Chris Keats, Joseph Bobrow, Terrance McLarnan, and Rosalinda Taymor.
I want to finish by thanking the CIPS board, the reporters, and Mafe Izaguire for their invaluable support in helping to shepherd NewsBriefs to publication. It’s been a delight and a privilege to work with each of you.
